Carrie has extensive first-hand experience in vast array of medical fields. She has a background in paramedic medicine and spent ten years serving in the non-profit sector managing organizations, programs, and orchestrating resources to meet the health needs of people across the United States and abroad in countries such as Guatemala, Mexico, Kenya, and Zambia. She has coached countless clients on topics such as nutrition, weight loss, and stress management.
An ancient practice originating in India, Ayurveda takes the whole person into account; body, mind and spirit. After gaining basic information about one’s unique dosha (or constitution), Carrie supports clients as they achieve transformation and balance by activating the body's self-healing response through gentle nutrition and lifestyle changes. She employs valuable tools and information for her clients so they can regain their vitality on a daily basis.
In addition to her work as a wellness counselor, Carrie is a passionate “foodie” and blogs regularly about family life, dealing with food allergies, and healthy cooking via her blog, Our Stable Table. She also writes weekly columns in an online publication called Ravishly. Carrie lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband and young family.
