Deirdre Morrison, LMT (OBMT #16006)
Deirdre has practiced massage since 2007, and became interested through the avenues of dance/movement and breathwork. She attended Port Townsend School of Massage in WA state, an integrated program that offers strong foundations for understanding kinesiology and functional anatomy.
In continuing education Deirdre has focused around injury-healing treatment and support for sports activities, incorporating techniques of myofascial release, joint mobilization, and deep tissue. More recently, she has focused on somatic elements of working with those facing trauma, and creating safe opportunities for individuals to strengthen their emotional and bodily well being. She brings this experience to her Centering Massage.
Deirdre's style is primarily intuitive, and always tailored around what her clients ask for. Her intention is always to bring a sense of calm and fruitful tranquility to her practice.
She is available for Aromatherapy, Centering, Custom Therapeutic, and Prenatal massage that incorporate Swedish and Deep Tissue work. She is very open to supporting clients in their exercise regime, and those seeking to improve their breath mechanics, overall body awareness, and emotional growth.
